Next year I will be in a new country, nervousness is just something I'll have to deal with once I'm there. Can't help but feel the problems that are soon to come. I'd like to think I'm better then this but I just love to worry about things I can't control. Financially I should be fine if I stick with living moderately to slightly poor on food or rent so no worries there.
My problems
1. The longest I can get a Visa for is three months, in that time I must find a job that will let me change my Visa status to a WorkVisa so if I can't get one I'm Fucked.
2. The People that will help me with my day to day living have a life of their own so even though my new friends are friendly they can't babysit the foreigner all day.
3. All foreigners who reside in China must register with the local police department with all documentation and paperwork from the landlord, this just freaks me out in general. Imagining crazy thoughts that could make this go wrong with it ending by an officer saying with a Chinese accent- " You go to jail! You go to Jail NOW! YOU THERE LONG TIME!" Me and my crazy imagination, man I could so make a movie.
4.I can't speak Mandarin to save my life which will multiply all my problems by a factor of - Oh Shit x 10 - I know I should have started to take lessons but no, I love doing things the hard way. What an ass I am, thinking that because I will be going to a big city most people might speak English or maybe even Spanish if I was lucky. No such luck I'm saying to myself
"No asshole, in China they speak Chinese, lean some!"
When I'm there I hope to see the good. It will be a big change for me and a big step in growing up. I'm a big boy now so I gotta learn how to walk around the world without fear. I'll make my dreams come true without so much anxiety.
I will think about the food, the new friends, the new memories soon to come.
Don't let me die in Sichuan Weiwei. Help me from going crazy or getting too fat off HotPot.
