How are Jew, I'm fine

Yesterday I got a call from an old friend of mine, a French Jew. I met him and his girl friend when they were attending SBCC. I remember always having good conversations with him. Anyway....I picked up the phone and realized it was him, in a kick-back swagger I said "Emanuel how are you man"
What it sounded like was "Emanuel How Are Jew Main" The dude thought I was raggin' on him because he was a Jew. I explained that its a spanish american kickback style of saying, How are you? After that we had a good laugh about it. I think from now on when I speak with him I'll say "How Are Jew?" gp

Side note: Even though my friend comes from a Jew background
hes not really into the whole thing thats why he say
"I'm not a Jew, I'm Jew-ish"
